It's been a little over a year since my beloved Finley lost his battle with bone cancer. He was my first dog and I swear we were souls of the same heart. He was a sweet, bossy and loving golden retriever, who never left my side in anything.
I'm crying as I write this, because I miss him so much. I still have his brother, Jakey who is sitting at my feet. I thought it would get easier as time passed, but it hasn't. My daughter thought we should seek out a pet loss counselor to see if they can help.
I lost a part of myself that day I said goodbye as I held him at the vet's office. I sat with him for awhile after with him in my arms. I keep his box on my nightstand with his pawprint and his baby.
Maybe it will get better someday, I don't know but I do know that after Jakey goes to heaven to meet Finley that I won't have another dog. This is too painful.
Here is my beautiful boy...
Hug your babies today and kiss them on their sweet cheeks. I love you Finley.

Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day to all of my Mommy friends! I celebrated yesterday with Meg and my parents. Meg went all the way up to Bestitched Needlepoint on Shea and got me a nice gift certificate! Love it! Stash money is the best money!
Phoenix Coyotes play today in their first conference final ever! So proud!
I just returned from Ronna's on Friday, the wedding was beautiful and we had a wonderful time.
Anyway, off to run a couple of errands (read: shopping!) and then enjoy a nice dinner.

My new blog
Hi everyone, I'm Sharon Crescent and this is my personal blog. My thread business, Crescent Colours has it's own blog if you click here
I've recently jumped back into needlepointing and I'm having a fabulous time! My dear old eyes can't see the linen anymore, so I've set my cross stitching aside for the time being.
My first project back into the fray is a little white bunny ornament by Jody Designs. Mine has a teal background and she's just darling. Sandy at Peacock Alley Needlepoint made a little stitch guide and pulled fibers for me, even sent it tacked onto bars! I'm sharing a picture below of the canvas and the fibers. YUMMY!
Some people don't understand that I like to use other fibers than those that my company dyes. I think that's what draws me to needlepoint. All of the sparkly, fun fibers and WOOLS (I love everything wool, including wool applique) that are used are just fun. All of the textures of the different stitches gives the canvas so much personality.
Well, I'm about to get stitching...Happy Cinco de Mayo!
